ABOUT
I was born in the mid 1970’s amid a burgeoning sprawl of vineyards and new retirement homes. With two teachers as parents, my love of reading and books was cemented at an early age. Being a writer however, was not was I was supposed to be when I ‘grew up’. Despite training in law (or perhaps because of it) I’ve been a dancer, producer, writer, and all round arty type in various countries for most of my life.
I love happy endings and hope you'll pleasure your shelf with some of mine. Something I can promise is that when it comes to the the characters in my romance novels, I always kiss and tell.
Moving into writing full time in 2010 was like being a part of a contemporary romance – perfect! Creating new worlds for my characters, or rather letting those same characters show me their worlds is now a highlight of my daily life. And falling in love over and over as each hero and heroine allow their true feelings to surface is something very special. What a treat to do it every day! Now back home in New Zealand after traveling plenty, I write from an office where the sound of the tapping keyboard is only rivaled by the whisper of wind in the trees.

I love writing. Almost more than chocolate. And I love knowing others are reading my work (way to build up a girls ego!) so I'm loving my all the great feedback you romance readers provide. Thanks! I've been on a cruise buzz the past while - here's me "practicing" after having sailed to Tonga. All three books of my Love on Deck series is out now, AND there is more sunshine in this girl yet. But as you'll know if you follow me on Facebook I'm all about billionaires and bikers at the moment with the Big City Billionaire novellas appearing in the Falling for the Alpha Box set and later this year in the Billionaire Ever After Box Set and my Raising Hellfire series rolling out with Saint Martin's Press over this year and next.
This year life with two small boys has been more demanding than a possum with a sore throat - and for those of you who don't know what that means, be happy for your ears ;-) Many thanks to the other writers who have read and helped hone my work towards publication. (If you're keen on writing as well as reading romance, get thee to a critique group or at least find someone else who loves the genre and can offer you honest, and maybe even brutal, feedback.) |
In all my writing l I like my heroines smart and sassy. Maybe it's a reflection of the women around me, but I'm a firm believer that women can do anything and so my heroines are the same. It doesn't mean my men are wimps though! You can count on some fine looking heroes who know just how to make a woman melt. I'm a hopeless romantic though, so get ready for some seriously happy endings.
I also like pretty things. Okay, maybe not pretty. I like things that move me, images that are sharp with a little edge and I love good design. So you might find my blog sometimes filled with an image of...a chair. What's that got to do with writing? Everything. I think that where and how we live has a huge impact on who we are, and what we surround ourselves with often shines out in our comments and work. Also, we built a house (OMG, what were we thinking) and we appeared in an bunch of interiors books and magazines after my love affair with paintbrushes!
Anyways, thanks again for visiting my website. I'd love to hear from you, here or on facebook or twitter. And you can sign up for my newsletter anytime.
Have a great day and happy reading!
Michele
