In my opinion what makes a man sexy is a look, a pause, a smile. A dimple they can’t hide when they see you. It’s the way hearing their voice gets under your skin. The dark and gravel-rich words slipping into your pocket so you can swallow them later with a shot of whiskey. What makes a man sexy is the feeling that he’s yours and yours alone. The way he holds your hand and kisses it in the middle of your palm and fold your fingers around it so you can keep it close. A night of singing in the rain followed by laughter. Jake Slade has that for Lucy Black and when his dark eyes capture hers you can almost smell it.
